This week I’ll be heading up to sunny Sheffield for the annual Children’s Media Conference. It’s Europe’s big confab for all things related to media for young people.
When I first attended, the CMC was mostly TV focused. It’s grown in scope and ambition as the media landscape has evolved and fragmented, and now covers TV, film, digital, books, and live events.
Unlike markets like MIP or even Kidscreen, CMC is still a conference where leading practitioners go to learn from their peers.
With several multi-media projects on the go right now, I’m looking forward to reconnecting with old colleagues, old friends, and learning something new.
I’ll blog from Sheffield, but if you want to follow the action, the twitter hashtag is #TCMC.
