After years of championing Holly Smale’s incredible novels for the screen, I sold GEEK GIRL to netflix and it has finally come to the platform globally (and to StackTV in Canada) and is now delighting audiences around the world.

I couldn’t be happier to see our little show resonate around the world. It’s incredibly validating to witness the positive reception after working with Holly for years to get her books to the screen. The reception on social media has been an out-pouring of joy and it’s bringing a whole new generation of readers to Holly’s books, part of the strategy of creating a “virtuous circle” from books to screen and back to books.
Huge congrats to the entire team, from author and co-creator Holly Smale, our producer Zoë Rocha, co-producers Anthony Leo & Andrew Rosen, the writing team (Jess Ruston, Holly Smale, Sameera Steward, and Sarah Morgan) to th incredible on-screen cast assembled by casting director Rob Kelly (Emily Carey, Liam Woodrum, Tim Downie, Jemima Rooper, Zac Looker, Rochelle Harrington, Daisy Jelly, Emmanuel Imani, Hebe Beardsall, Sarah Parish). All 10 eps were directed by Declan O’Dwyer. And the soundtrack was supervised by Matt Biffa with a score by Nikhil Seetharam.
